Meet Tyler Eng! You may have seen him on the field playing for the Men’s Soccer Team or working on his dance moves for the Dance Production next Spring semester. He’s a sophomore, from Las Vegas, and is a Kinesiology major with minor in Psychology.
How did you get into soccer and how long have you been playing for? – My parents wanted me to start playing sports when I was young. The first sport they found for me was a youth soccer league near my neighborhood so my parents signed me up. Since then I’ve played soccer for 15 years.
What is your favorite thing about Oxy? – My favorite thing about Oxy is its close-knit community. Having a small campus allows me to get to know a lot of the students here and form relationships that I wouldn’t be able to have at larger schools.
What’s your favorite thing to eat of all time and why? What’s your favorite thing to eat on campus? – Without a doubt my favorite food of all time is sushi. It’s simply the best. My favorite thing to eat on campus would have to be the burger bar. It never disappoints.
Embarrassing high school moment? – My most embarrassing high school moment was when I was giving a presentation in front of my government class and by the end of it, my teacher pointed out that my pants were on backwards.
Guilty Pleasure? – My guilty pleasure is rice. I love to eat rice all the time especially at night. I keep microwavable rice under my bed just in case I get a craving.
What qualities do you look for in a girl? – The qualities I look for in a girl are the usual stuff that guys look for such as kind, funny, and smart, but I also look for someone who is a little carefree and doesn’t take life too seriously. I also look for someone who likes to dance. I love to dance.
One crazy thing that you’d like to do from your bucket list – A crazy thing I would like to do from my bucket list is go shark cage diving.
T.V. show you can’t get enough of? – The T.V. show I can’t get enough of is Game of Thrones. Everything about that show is epic. And it has dragons.
Celebrity girl crush – My celebrity girl crush is Olivia Munn.
Random fact – I have a 2nd Degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
