There’s nothing better than throwing on a classic ‘90s show and relaxing to the witty humor and stereotypical yet lovable characters. Shows today are much more complicated, made all the better with higher quality equipment and budgets. However, nothing beats a nostalgic experience forcing you to change your style for a week to match with Rachel from Friends.
- Friends
-
The most obvious. I couldn’t leave it out.
- Freaks And Geeks
-
This show is probably lesser-known, but there is absolutely nothing that I would change about it (other than adding another season). With a star-studded cast- i.e. Busy Phillips, James Franco, and Jason Segel, to name a few- Freaks and Geeks has everything that you could ask for.
- Boy Meets World
-
I actually watched this show in school because my teacher thought it discussed topics that an eighth-grader could find useful (I think he just wanted a break from teaching).
- The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
-
If you can rap along to Will Smith and haven’t seen this show, you are a fake. There, I said it!
- That 70’s Show
-
I have seen this series a solid five times.
- Full House
-
We all grew up watching this every day. You loved it, your siblings loved it- even your parents loved it. Fuller House just isn’t the same.
- Buffy The Vampire Slayer
-
Buffy single-handedly raised a crowd of badass b!tches. Watching this show, there is no way you can’t feel empowered… as long as you can ignore the terrible graphics compared to today’s TV magic.
- Twin Peaks
-
The cult classic to end all cult classics- I haven’t actually watched this show, but it has so many supporters.
- My So-Called Life
-
I WANT THIS ON NETFLIX NOW.
- Roseanne
-
Spunky and funny, Roseanne was actually enjoyable. It’s too bad the reboot didn’t make it far, but that just proves that society is actually moving in a progressive direction!
- Cheers
-
This is another show that I haven’t seen but so many people talk about to this day.
- Sabrina the Teenage Witch
-
The original Sabrina was so good! I need to rewatch it.
- The Nanny
-
I didn’t realize that The Nanny was only on for around a year but I LOVED this show when it played on Nick At Night!
- Beverly Hills, 90210
-
The start of the thirst for trashy drama series.
- Saved By The Bell
-
Who doesn’t love Saved By The Bell?
- Will and Grace
-
I probably never chose to watch this on my own, but I enjoyed it whenever my parents turned it on.
- Sex And The City
-
Many of my friends at Pace University are still influenced by this show, wanting to follow in Carrie Bradshaw’s footsteps and make it in the big city.
- The Powerpuff Girls
-
We were all obsessed with Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles, even if you didn’t watch the show!
- Dawson’s Creek
-
I actually watched this on Netflix not that long ago, and it is worth the hype.
- The X-Files
-
Another show that I haven’t watched but am STILL hearing so much chatter as people are rewatching it in their free time.
- Seinfeld
-
To go out with a bang, I had to end this with Seinfeld.
There are so many more shows that could be included on this list- these are only my top 21. Hopefully, this inspires you to rewatch an old favorite or find a new one!
