The Brooklyn Botanic Garden is located at 990 Washington Ave in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. This space is home to thousands of flowers, a composting center and visitor’s center to provide guests with information on the various conservatories located on the grounds.
From Saturday April 29th to Sunday April 30th, the space will celebrate the Japanese culture and the unveiling of their cherry blossoms exhibit for this season at the Sakura Matsuri festival. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden is offering over 60 events including an art gallery, a Japanese tearoom as well as a “create your own illustrations” workshop conducted by well-known artists! There are also live performances throughout the day by local New Yorkers.
The weather will be beautiful this weekend, reaching temperatures of 80 degrees so get out and experience Brooklyn and be sure to capture some Instagram-able pics of the incredible cherry blossoms!
