Yes, you could brunch this Easter but, what you should really do is stay in with the family, invite some friends over, and bake some sweet treats! Since we definitely aren’t all Betty Crocker’s and there are thousands of recipes online to choose from, here are five you should try this holiday!
Â
- Easter Chocolate Nests
If you’re familiar with YouTube, then you absolutely know of Zoella and are totally envious of her amazing baking skills. Last year she put together a to-die-for blog post, as well as a video, on six quick and easy treats to make for Easter. One of the desserts featured was Easter Chocolate Nests, which include 300g dairy milk chocolate, six cups of shredded wheat cereal, and mini chocolate eggs.
Check out the link below to see some of her other creations as well as her recipe for Crème Egg Cupcakes.

- Tsoureki
Greek Easter just so happens to fall on the same day as Easter this year. It is a tradition in the Greek culture to paint your Easter eggs red and to have a special loaf of bread called Tsoureki. Though this recipe is lengthy, the wait is worth it (to have this sweet bread with a side of coffee or tea)! Some ingredients you’ll need are two ¼  teaspoons of active dry yeast, ½ cup of sugar, and two teaspoons of ground fennel seeds. OPA!

- Â Coconut Bunny Cake
This recipe definitely isn’t for the faint of heart but, you should give it a shot if you have a professional, or well trained baker in the family! This cake feeds about ten people, but we won’t tell anyone if you bake it all for yourself. The coconut buttercream icing includes three cups of confectioners’ sugar, sifted and two sticks of unsalted butter at room temperature. Get the full recipe down below!

Â
- Easy Bunny Cupcakes
How cute are these cupcakes?! To make the bunny ears, simply cut up some marshmallows using a scissor and immediately press the sticky side into pink sprinkles (or whatever colors you have)!

Â
- Egg Dye
Okay, you can’t eat these treats but you do need to decorate hard-boiled eggs this Easter. If you aren’t into using harmful dyes, there is an alternative way using ingredients you have in your cupboard! All you need is 15 minutes to boil two cups of water with one tablespoon of vinegar and a tablespoon of Jell-O.

Get on over to your local supermarket, or (if you’re feeling fancy) head to Whole Foods and start cracking those eggs!Â
