Valentine’s Day brings on a lot of emotions to people; from anxiety to loneliness. Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love, though it’s mostly taken over by couples. I’ve only ever experienced Valentine’s day with my friends, never with a significant other. But what does Valentine’s Day really mean? One of my friends on Facebook made a great remark about this day of love. She stated “shouldn’t every day be a celebration with your love ones” and she is absolutely right.
As today loomed closer, I wondered the same thing. Even if I can’t celebrate February 14th with him, isn’t every time we hang out or go on a date the same thing? What sets this day apart from any other? For my Valentine’s Day, I hope to spend it with my Prince Charming, but if I can’t, then that will be okay. Every day I get to spend time with him are moments I love. I’ve probably told him countless times how much I love him and written him notes as well. So even if you do not have someone to spend Valentine’s day with, it’s okay. Because you can spend it with the friends who love you for you. Happy Valentine’s Day, and may you fill it with the ones who love you the most.
P.S. Frankie! Will you be my Valentine <3 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
