Graduation is coming up, which means you might be buying a cap and gown for the big walk on stage! To “top off” Women’s History Month, take a look at these motivational and witty grad cap ideas!

4) Hidden Figures quote –Truly a beautiful quote and empowering movie.
5) Laurel Thatcher Ulrich quote –I am going to stand my ground and raise my voice!
6) “Formation” by Beyoncé –Cuz I slay, I slay!
7) “The Future is Female” –A slogan dating back to the 70’s from New York City’s first women’s bookstore “Labyris”. This slogan was created by lesbian feminists and was printed on t-shirts and pins to feminist rallies. The phrase died out, but then resurfaced after someone online found an old photo American feminist activist and folk singer, Alix Dobkin sporting the shirt in 2015.

10) Audre Lorde –A Caribbean American, lesbian activist, feminist and writer who was so inspirational and I love. Many of her other quotes are also very insightful! Although this isn’t a graduation cap it deserves to be on one!
11) Black Girl Magic –It isn’t crazy sorcery, but it is graduation! Work hard girls!
12) Malala Yousafzai quote –Women’s education is so important! Again, I couldn’t find this on a graduation cap, but it should be on one!
13) “Girl Worth Fighting For” from Mulan –Although Mulan’s lines from the song were dismissed by her male peers, a woman’s intelligence is definitely noteworthy and valuable. I mean, watch me get that degree!
14) A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare –A quote from Helena about Hermia in this infamous play. Don’t mess with her or me!
15) Wonder Woman insignia –Does my degree come with super powers?
16) Behind Every Successful Woman is Herself –A novel all about successful business women by Bart Jackson. The title may have been a play on words to the quote: “Behind every successful woman is a tribe of other successful women who have her back”. Either way, both are strong feminist quotes with different meanings.
17) Gilmore Girls quote from Richard Gilmore –Throwback!
18) “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana – “See the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me~”
