They say that your college years are some of the most transformative years of your life, and I might have to agree. As time goes on, I find myself relating more and more to Michael Scott. You may know him as the Regional Manager of a small paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania on the TV show The Office… But I see him as a spiritual guide.
1. When you check your syllabus and realize you have a test in a week
2. When you go to Pitt events specifically for the free t-shirts
3. When you’re watching Pitt football
4. When you’re worried about your TurnItIn submission but are fairly sure you cited your sources correctly
5. Leaving your roommates knowing you will spend the weekend in Hillman
6. What you are fairly sure Roc says to himself before every Pitt game
7. Every time you start an essay
8. Basically every time you catch a glimpse of Cathy
9. Hopping on a Port Authority bus to South Side even though you have a million things to do
10. When you’re a senior/super senior and you walk into Towers
11. The look you give to someone who took your seat in class four weeks into the semester
12. Every time professors say “don’t use Wikipedia”
13. What you have to say to your parents when they see your bank account
14. When you have that friendly badgering with friends who don’t go to Pitt
15. Seeing your dog for the first time after being away at school
16. When you get a group project
17. When James Conner got injured in the first football game
18. When you eat Market food
19. Looking at the “Are you going to collect the homework?” person
20. When you see that car driving in the bus lane on Fifth
21. When you first start the Chevron steps vs. when you’re halfway up
22. When you realize you have to leave Pitt
