Last we heard, the lovely ladies of Pitt’s What Drives You? campaign were busy with their team members preparing the final presentation of their project for Mazda executives; as well as waiting eagerly to hear if they made it to the finals of the competition. Shortly after the celeb article was published, the girls heard great news: they had made it to the final competition and would be traveling to the Mazda offices to compete for the final prize!
On December 16th, seven representatives from Pitt’s student marketing agency ProsInMotion traveled to Mazda’s northeast headquarters in Bridgewater, NJ to compete against Drexel University in the final competition. With a $3,000 cash prize, as well as some pretty serious bragging rights on the line, the Pitt students gave it their all in front of a six-judge panel and audience.
After nervously awaiting the results for nearly an hour, the Pitt team finally heard the news they’d been waiting for: their team, ProsInMotion had won. Of the experience, Department Coordinator for Advertising Ivy Kolpon stated, “It was such an incredible moment – the campaign was over. We won, and all of our hard work paid off.” Annie Bohlander, the Department Coordinator of Public Relations shared in her enthusiasm: “The experience was so rewarding – we really felt as though they were interested in our insights.”
Annie also stated that, overall, the class was the highlight of many of her classmates’ college careers; quoting her peer Angelica Wroblewski who said, “I couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity. I learned so much from the class; to win the competition was just a bonus!”
From one campus organization to another, we just want to give a big congratulations to the Pitt Business School’s ProsInMotions student marketing agency! It is especially inspiring to see this group of ladies, along with their team members, already making a name for themselves in the corporate world. We can’t wait to see what they achieve next.
