This is the University of Pittsburgh’s own Caty Holmes, but she isn’t the famous actress; she’s the awesome college student we’re about to learn about!

Her Campus: Where are you from?
Caty Holmes: I grew up in a small town called Groton in Massachusetts, about an hour from Boston.
HC: What do you like most about Pitt?
CH: I like that there is such a variety of classes and activities to get involved with.
HC: What is your major?
CH: Natural Sciences with a certificate in Managing Health Services, Programs and Projects
HC: Are you involved in any clubs or organizations?
CH: Yes, just starting a new club with my roommate! We call it “Dealing with Dependents.” If you are interested in joining please contact my roommate at las261@pitt.edu. This is going to be a great time, and we would love to have you!
HC: What is the purpose of the club?
CH: The club is intended to be a support system for students who have friends or family members in the military, or for veterans themselves. We also plan to fundraise for causes associated with veterans and military families.
HC: Are you in the military?
CH: I’m in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. Been in almost three years.
HC: What is your favorite movie?
CH: Hard to say. The Princess Bride is always good.
HC: What is your favorite weekend activity?
CH: I really enjoy exploring new parts of Pittsburgh or going to the Strip District to walk around and get breakfast.
