Everyone loves the Nationality Rooms in Cathy. I mean, there are some that you wouldn’t want to have class in (uncomfortable much?) but they are still cool to look at. Ever want to study in a room but don’t know which one you like the most? Find your personality and see the room that best suits you!

Austria Room

You’re a little bit spoiled (by either your parents or your significant other), you like to be the center of attention, and you know how to command a group of people. You also have a soft side and want others to be comfortable around you. You have expensive taste and love a good pair of sparkly earrings! If you study in the Austrian room, sit at the head of the table to get the full experience and bask in a feeling of power.

African Room

You don’t mind being put in uncomfortable situations and you embrace them. You like being around a group of people and get energy from it. You’re probably an extrovert! You’d rather be outside than inside. You don’t need anything fancy, but appreciate time, effort, and small details. Find a display that inspires you the most and sit where you can see it clearly.

English Room

You are organized and a bit old-fashioned. You appreciate order and symmetry in life. You like lecture-style classes and taking your own notes. You prefer paper and pencil to a laptop. You don’t like wearing super loose clothing or bright colors. You aren’t afraid to ask questions or challenge a statement. People look up to you and often ask you to study with them because they know you’re going to concentrate! Your friends make you the tie-breaker when it comes to making decisions because you always pick the best spot to eat or movie to watch.

Armenian Room

You’re minimalistic and simple. You are quiet and probably an introvert. You like the cold better than the heat (that’s why you chose Pitt of course). You mostly wear black, white, and grey. You stand firm in your beliefs and aren’t too quick to change your mind. You build others up with kind words and you would drop everything and help someone in need! You aren’t selfish. You might, however, have a hard time agreeing with someone while picking out something on Netflix.

Turkish Room

You are athletic and probably play a sport here at Pitt. You have a hard time sitting still and try to avoid taking classes longer than an hour. You enjoy getting up early (most days) and love the sun. Sometimes you need to stretch or walk around between study breaks and this room is perfect because of the large floor space! You have tons of energy and are always encouraging people to push themselves. You are a positive person and are always smiling.

Swedish Room

You seem to have multiple personalities in one body. Sometimes you are quiet, sometimes you are the life of the party. You like the outdoors but get sunburn easily. You like looking at different types of art but aren’t in love with anything in particular. You enjoy a traditional classroom but also like a little something different mixed in. You like the organized look of black and white but love a splash of color. You’re probably the spontaneous one in your friend group!

Russian Room

You are very traditional. You look at details that are often overlooked. You appreciate the intricate simplicity in nature. You like warm tones and like accessories with natural elements, like stones and wood. You are super tolerant of others and welcome everyone with open arms. You like to read and look into topics that interest you! You think carefully before you speak—that is, except on the weekends because you love to drink.
