The 17 Best Instagram Pics of Pittsburgh’s 2013 Light Up Night

On November 22, 2013, Downtown Pittsburgh held its 53rd annual Light Up Night, kicking off the holiday season with tree lightings, ice carvings, vendors, pictures with Santa Claus, music and more throughout the Steel City’s most popular locations, such as PPG Place, the Highmark Unity Tree, the City-County Building, and Point State Park! While Light Up Night is always a big deal to us “yinzers” (aka Pittsburgh folk), this year was unlike any other; from dance parties complete with lasers and bubble machines to iconic performances on the Roberto Clemente Bridge, to special guest appearances by Pretty Little Liars actress, Lucy Hale, and American Idol runner-up, Adam Brock, to a synchronized fireworks show to conclude the night, our city was left in awe from the event’s splendor.

Of course the #LightUpNight tag on Instagram was loaded with great pictures, but these are some of the best ones proving just how epic the celebration was this year!
