When you find a band that can fearlessly combine genres without missing a beat (literally), you know you’ve found something worth listening to. The New York-based powerhouse rockers that make up Midnight Mob have managed to put themselves on the map through a seamless combination of punk, metal, blues, and soul.
Midnight Mob guitarist Mickey Squeeze said, “We play what we dig and people seem to dig what we play. We get the punk crowd, the metal crowd, the classic rock crowd – even people who aren’t really into hard rock relate to us on some level.”
Lead by vocalist Blackey Deathproof’s raspy, powerful vocals, and backed by modern inspirations and classic rock influences played by guitarist Mickey Squeeze, drummer Beatz, and bassist Carly Quinn, the band has come a long way since their formation in 2009. To date, they’ve released two EPs – a self-titled in 2011 and Black Moon Rising in 2013, as well as a full-length album in 2014, These Days.
In addition to three powerhouse releases, Midnight Mob’s unique sound has earned them many notable accomplishments. Some of these accomplishments include having their music heard on MLB 2014/2015, WWE Smackdown, Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives, and Restaurant Impossible just to name a few. In addition to a legion of diverse, incredible fans, Midnight Mob has also garnered the respect and admiration of classic rocker Duff McKagan, bassist for Guns N’ Roses with their performances at the CBGB Music Festival.
Midnight Mob is now set to take the world by storm once again with their new EP Honest Brutal Glorious, set to release March 25th. This EP will take all of the best elements from Midnight Mob’s past releases and put into six tracks that’ll take you on an honest, brutal, and glorious musical journey.
