I hope you diligent students grabbed your briefcases and resumes! The Point Park University Job Fair was held this past Tuesday, September 30th, from 12 pm to 3 pm in the Student Center. Over a hundred employers were there, searching for interns, part-time, and full-time workers. This was an excellent opportunity for students to attain, not only future employment after school, but for current work as well. Most of the employers were seeking part-time workers and interns. These are great opportunities to partake in while completing school! Part-time work and internships allow for experience in the fields students are pursuing. Another great opportunity provided by the Point Park University Job Fair is holiday work. Many employers are seeking potential candidates for holiday workers. This provides students with opportunities to attain positions during holiday breaks. The Point Park University Job Fair provides students with a variety of employers. Some of the employers that took place in this event were UPMC, The American Red Cross, Brightside Academy, Dollar Bank, Rite-Aid, Ketchum, Make-A-Wish, Seven Springs, Southwood Psychiatric Hospital, Nakturnal, and many others. These employers were searching for a variety of different majors. Majors being recruited ranged from accounting, psychology, education, creative writing, entertainment, healthcare, and many more. The Point Park University Job Fair provided students with many employers to discuss future opportunities with and provided many types of positions to scope out. Many of the employers hand out free items as well in order to promote their companies. Along with providing students with massive amounts of employment opportunities, Point Park University provided students with a chance to take head shots to display on Internet employment sites, such as Linkedin. Point Park University created a hit by producing the Job Fair, which provided students with free items, free photographs, internships, part-time, and full-time work. Â Â Â Â Â Â
