Best Places to Thrift Shop in Portland

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Portland chapter.

Portland. Well known for its bikes, coffee, trees, bridges, and THRIFT STORES. Check out these locations to find some great stuff!

1. Artifact

I love this store! It’s a little more high end but it’s also decently priced.

Location:  3630 SE Division St, Portland, OR 97202

Check out their website here!

2. What’s Upstairs

If you haven’t been to NW 23rd Ave. already then you should go right now. Drop everything, throw your textbooks out the window, and run there if you must. Most of these stores are incredibly pricey, but oh so fancy. This store is a refreshing break from the stores you could only every window shop at.

Location: 736 NW 23rd Ave, Portland, OR 97210

Check out thier website here!

3. William Temple House Thrift Store

This store is a quick walk away from the What’s Upstairs store, and it’s a nice alternative to Goodwill.

Location: 2230 NW Glisan St, Portland, OR 97210

Check out thier website here!

4. Village Merchants

This store is so great and I know a few of my friends have found some treasures here.

Location: 4035 SE Division St, Portland, OR 97202

Check out their website here!

5. Goodwill

An oldie but a goodie. This location has a really great selection but they get really busy. They only have two dressing rooms and very few cashiers. So give yourself plenty of time to shop.

Location: 2215 W Burnside St, Portland, OR 97210

6. Value Village

What I love most about Vallue Village is that they aren’t so typically teeny tiny like most thrift stores. This store is the furthest from Portland but it’s well worth it.

Location: 12060 SW Main St, Tigard, OR 97223
