Â
In five weeks, say goodbye to those books! Summer is just around the corner, but remember to finish off the semester STRONG ladies! These last few weeks might be the hardest, but take breaks every now and again. A mind overloaded is just as useful as an empty mind. Go outside and get some fresh air; take a walk or go treat yourself to a refreshment or snack. Getting some fresh air will help your mind relax. Anyway, who doesnât love those wonderful Spring scents outside everywhere?! Or if you prefer the indoors, watch one of your favorite episodes on Hulu.com, a movie, or a music video on YouTube. If these options arenât enough for you, put some headphones in and lay down for a while.
As easy as it is to fall into the pressure and stress of finals and things that need to get done, these âbreaksâ are essential. From my experience, taking a break lets me come back to my studies and feel more âat peace.â I am able to feel relaxed, tranquil and organize my materials so that my desk space doesnât feel as overwhelming. Also, something that most oftentimes helps with mental health is rewarding yourself for completing a task. This ârewardâ can serve as a reminder of self-recognition. You can feel good about getting through the hard stuff and then, in turn, treat yourself to something good. J Just as the saying goes: âWhat would you like to hear first, the good or the bad news?â Well, for me, I would want the bad news first and then to end on a pleasant note with the good news. The same concept corresponds with getting through a difficult task. Lastly, please keep in mind that life is beautiful so live it beautifully as we together seize these last weeks of school!
