After many, many seasons of designers giving us minimalistic looks, finally, they’ve given us more. FW 2018 trends can be summed up into one word: extra af. Well, three words.
- Maximalist: This fall fashion designers are taking a walk on the wild side and going crazy for animal print -all print to be more precise. Whether it’s leopard, snake, scarf, polka dots, you name it! Prints are all the rage and many are making the most of it. Wear it from head to toe or dip your toes and wear it as an accessory, but either way: have fun with it!
- Wild Wild West: If you’re already tired of the puns I’m so sorry but I refuse to stop! For a few seasons now we’ve seen designers incorporate a little bit of the Americana theme into their runways, but this FW18 they’re finally fully giving-in to this amazing trend. Cowboy boots, fringed jackets, western shirts and belts are making their way into stores as we speak. Take a chance and add a little bit of the cowboy vibe to your wardrobe this season.
- Patchy Plaid: Tartan is dusting itself off and making a comeback in an unexpected way: patchwork. Designers are making the most out of the regal fabric and trying to make it grungier. On top of that, we’re also seeing it in all different types of bold colours and patterns.
- Logomania: This trend goes hand in hand with Athleisure, a trend we’ve been seeing for a few seasons now. Now, however, like the trends mentioned above, it’s going extra. Don’t step outside of your comfy sporty clothes just yet, but prepare to declare allegiance. Whether it’s on your chest, waistband, or feet there is no escaping fashion’s blaring logos.
