Ah, Erie, Pennsylvania. A city in which, let’s face it, you don’t truly understand its potential quite until you turn 21. There is a bar for whatever type of night you’re looking for, and I made it my personal mission to attend things that weren’t available every Thursday through Saturday.
On occasion I will take myself and a few friends out to Cornerstone Bar and Grill on a Wednesday night. I like going here on Wednesdays because not only do they have incredible drink specials, but, on top of that, their food is even more incredible. Their chicken wings are phenomenal and they make pizza logs that I’ve heard are delectable. If you are looking for something fun to do on a Wednesday night, Cornerstone is the best place to go!

The event that’s coming up fast is WineFest, North East’s crown jewel. Essentially, it’s a weekend of drinking, dancing, and shopping. There are two different locations, one in Gibson Park and one in Gravel Pit Park; They both have events happening Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. With vineyards pretty much encompassing the entire North East area, WineFest brings a number of different companies to the stage. Through wine tastings and live music, the atmosphere is unmatched. Grab a group of friends, get a ride, and you’re on your way to one of the best Saturdays you’ll have for a while! The weekend of September 27th through the 29th, hopefully, you’ll remember your day.

Another event I’m extremely excited about is the Wizards and Wands Bar Crawl. Maybe it’s because I’m a nerd, but a bar crawl that encompasses the Hogwart’s spirit (and comes with a patch knit scarf, a stadium cup for all your drinks, and drink specials (and no cover) at the bars). For $10 for a group of 4 people, I think it’s so much fun to turn the bars you usually would visit on a Thursday into a means to get to the wizarding world. And it’s just in time for spooky season, as it’s happening October 12th or October 13th!
