Spring is finally here, and flowers are a big part of that. But for those people who have allergies, flowers can be difficult to navigate.
Â
1. Don’t bend and smell it
Easier said than done. Flowers smell wonderful to you. Your allergies have another idea. Related to this…
2. Don’t touch them
If you have to buy flowers for someone, you may be out of luck on this. Try not to touch anything once you’ve touched the flowers. There’s pollen on them, as well as other issues. Touching your shirt doesn’t seem like that big of a deal until you go to take a shower. Taking your shirt off is going to result with pollen on your face, which is going to cause problems.
3. Take them outside
People give flowers as gifts during the Spring. If you receive some, it’s okay to stick it on your poch or in the garage “so you don’t forget to plant it”. If you received a bouquet, hand them off to someone to put them in water. You’re going to have to suffer through this one until the people go home and you an figure out how bad your allergies are to the specific flowers.

Good luck! May the odds be ever in your favor!
