10 Penn State Boys That Are Completely Underrated

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at PSU chapter.

Sure, we all like to look at the football boys in class as they sit in clumps with their matching blutfits (blue outfits) on. And okay, I’ll admit a frat boy in Timbs with a backwards Polo hat on will catch my eye as I wait outside for the White Loop. Even a jersey at a daylong is usually worth the double-take. Sadly, due to these token “hot boy” appearances, girls often get caught up in the stereotypes and overlook the true gems on campus. Here are 10 underrated boys at Penn State that I feel all deserve a litte more attention:

1. The engineer

Smart is sexy. It’s as simple as that. An engineer has his priorities right and his goals in line, and those are the right kinds of boys to keep around.

2. The worker

They may not be in any frat or major club, but they know how to balance their schoolwork with a real job or maybe even two. As they say, time is money. If you can get a piece of time from these boys, it will be worth it.

3. The musician (who doesn’t play their instrument in the quad or on the corner)

These guys aren’t in it for attention but rather for enjoyment and relaxation. Seek these boys out, and maybe they’ll play you a song or even serenade you.

4. The wrestling team

Wrestlers are just beautiful human beings that have their heads on straight, whether it’s on or off the mat. They’re a solid group of guys who have their goals in check with big dreams and high expectations.

5. The reader

Not many college students read for leisure, and the ones that do often don’t find the time to look up and notice the people around them. Get these boys to notice you and you’re sure to be flattered with a widespread vocabulary, endless knowledge and infinite wisdom.

6. The ROTC boy

Ugh, military men. Whether it’s their formal discipline, natural charm or the fact that they look great in a uniform, these boys were born to be swooned over.

7. The budding comedian

They’ve been the funny guy their whole life, and everyone has appreciated that. It’s likely that college has brought out the best in them with a goofy haircut or some sick vintage clothes. They may be overdoing it, or they be onto something. Either way, spending time with them will leave you exhausted from laughing so much.

8. The club basketball team

Unfortunately, Penn State Men’s Basketball hasn’t been pulling through these past few years, but that doesn’t mean we can’t count on the club basketball team. Not only do they know how to scoop up the ladies, but they’ve also been shown to win a few games.

9. The business frat boys

Fratty but not fratty at the same time. That’s lovable. Business frat men are likely in the Smeal College of Business, which is a que to cute and smart. Two qualities that make a deadly combination. Men involved in a business frat are likely goal-driven, hard-working and know what they want.

10. The tennis team

Beautiful sport with a beautiful team.‘Nuff said.

The list really could go on an on, as Penn State is full of worthy men that are smart and hard-working. Just remember this: if they chose Penn State and Penn State chose them, then it’s likely that they are worth your time.
