Last week the college of agricultural sciences hosted Ag Day. Located in Alumni Hall and on the Hub lawn, students were invited to see what agricultural science entails.
Different tables were set up, highlighting the many clubs and organizations within the college, and the students were encouraged to walk around and participate in educational activities. I got to pin the tail on the pony, plant a flower and match agricultural resources with the corresponding country. After completing three activities, I received a free cone of creamery ice-cream.Â
Outside there were baby calves, pigs and sheep. It’s not every day you see farm animals on the Hub lawn.
