Chris Howe is currently a sophomore majoring in political science. This election season, however, he was more involved than most and for him that hard work has paid off.

HC: What organization are you a part of and what position do you hold within the organization?
CH: I am the Vice-Chairman of Bull-Moose Party (We Are for Trump).
Â
HC: What does that position entail and how does it benefit the group?
CH: The Vice-Chair is effectively the whip of the organization. I make sure members within the organization are carrying out orders from the top and day-to-day tasks, as well as watching for any gaps in leadership and anything that comes up unexpectedly.
Â
HC: What is the message that We Are for Trump is trying to convey?
CH: Our message up until yesterday was the superiority of Trump as a candidate to Clinton and the need to elect him as the 45th POTUS. Moving forward we aim to spread conservative ideals on campus, of traditional, libertarian, as well as the new wave populist ideals Mr. Trump has brought to the table. We will focus heavily on Constitutional education, firearm use and training and intend to participate in service opportunities to benefit the local community.
Â
HC: What have been the biggest obstacles and challenges you’ve faced while trying to do so?
CH: Biggest obstacles have been multitudes of people on campus who are unwilling to be civil, professional and refuse to engage in thoughtful dialogue. Our biggest mission has been to spread the good word of Mr. Trump and engage with people and many made it their mission in life to shut down any attempts we made to get our message out.
Â
HC: What did your organization do to prepare for Election Day?
CH: We have been preparing for Election Day since the end of the spring semester. We have been directly cooperating with the RNC and PA GOP since day one. Our campaigning efforts with them only intensified the closer to election day we came.
Â
HC: What was the atmosphere like for your organization throughout Election Day and leading up to the results?
CH: Our feelings leading up to and particularly on Election Day were extremely high of energy. I can’t stress enough how positive and enthusiastic everyone in our organization has been. That energy lasted into the night as we prepared to watch the results come in. I’m sure I don’t need to elaborate on our feelings as the night unfolded.
Â
HC: What does this win mean to you and the other members?
CH: This win means that our country won, the people won. The silent majority, who has long been neglected and forgotten, has finally been heard and only one man was capable of listening and being our champion.

After over seven months of hard work and dedication, Chris and his organization’s efforts have finally all become worth it with the election of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States.
