Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I know your TikTok feed has been filled with fall outfit inspiration. I thought I’d put it all together to help you and your Thanksgiving outfit stand out amongst your friends, family and on the Instagram feed.
leather
I know that leather is not a surprising trend this year, as it is always a timeless classic. There are so many great ways to wear leather pieces. Take notes of Emma Chamberlain and her leather coat, Natalie Suarez’s full leather ensemble or Paolo Mathé’s knee-highs for inspiration.
Collars
Collared shirts are such an easy way to make an outfit more interesting and fashionable. Whether layered under a sweater or standing on its own, collars are a fall staple. Here are some perfect simple examples from Molly Blutstein and Olivia Lazaudy.
Layers
This one’s obvious. When the weather gets colder, the layers come out/ Layering is the number one fashion tip for the fall, so be sure to continue the trend on Thanksgiving. Imagine you take off your nice leather or full-length coat and still have a fantastic and well-thought-out outfit underneath. It’s a very expensive look, while not being completely bank-breaking.
monochrome
I have been living for the monochrome trend lately. It makes everything super easy to match with, and it makes your look so cohesive. Danie Sierra and Julia Dang perfectly created their monochrome fits with fall colors this season.
knits
Knitwear is my main fall go-to. They are so easy to find so versatile. Whether dressy or casual, a knit sweater is for you.
green
This one might come as a surprise because green isn’t a fall color, but wearing green is going to make you stick out in every photo. I also think green is a gorgeous balance between all the reds and browns that are usually worn on Thanksgiving.
