Dear Ashley Quinones (Senior Year, 2023),
Â
As a current freshman in college life has not been easy, the adjustment of moving from New Jersey to Pennsylvania took a toll on you. I hope that four years from now you are at a much better place mentally and physically. Everyone always says that “time heals all wounds,” maybe that is all you needed. I hope to see you thriving four years from now, I know you will find your way no matter where that is.Â
These four years in college will be some of the best times of your life and they will go by so quick. Not a lot of people realize how little four years is. This is why I hope that you made the best of your time and made choices that you would not regret in the long run. As a person who has never been on your own this journey will have been life changing in so many ways. I hope in the end you came out a better and changed person.
As I am writing this I am almost at the end of my first semester at Penn State. This semester was not easy as you already know but you made it through. These emotional hurdles you faced where all questioned deeply but ultimately were all apart of your journey here at college. From the help of so many people in your life you made it through this included your parents, siblings and best friends.Â
I hope that the place you are in right now is where you feel you are meant to be. There are so many questions I wish I had the answers to. Are you still majoring in Public Relations? Who are your closest friends? What were the past four years like? I can’t wait till I am able to see the changes made.Â
One day I am going to read this letter and remember how I felt right at this moment as I am writing this. The person I was, the setting I was in. I feel this letter will be a time capsule from freshman year. A little piece of you from this point in your life.Â
Thank you for this.Â
Â
                           Sincerely,
                           Ashley Quinones (Freshman, 2019)
