It’s no secret that Penn State doesn’t generally draw a big crowd, despite the team’s 10-3 (wins, loses) home record, $2 general admission tickets and the gorgeous backdrop of mountains behind the stadium. But, heading to a baseball game could a could be a laid-back way to spend an afternoon, whether you’re on a date or just spending time with friends before summer finally arrives and you all leave for home.
Last weekend I headed to Lubrano Park—where the team plays—and had a relaxing afternoon with friends. Taking a break from writing papers and studying, on a beautiful Saturday, was certainly refreshing. After all, sometimes it’s just to nice to sit inside the library reviewing flash cards.
So, if you want to spend the afternoon eating ballpark hotdogs and soft pretzels, put down your biology books and head to a baseball game. Just check Penn State’s baseball schedule to find a date that works best for you.
