In June 1994, Diana stepped out of a limo wearing a Christian Stambolian low-cut, off-the-shoulder neckline with a pearl choker and tall black heels. On this very night was when the adulterous relationship between Charles and Camilla was revealed on TV.
Who wouldn’t want to walk in front of the press in a revealing dress when your husband’s wrongdoing was finally exposed? I would want to look drop-dead gorgeous too and claim my role as an independent woman. Rest in peace to the true queen.

Some say this was her revenge dress to get back at Kanye West since it closely resembled her 2009 MTV Award dress. While she didn’t come out and say the reasoning behind the dress, it does resemble the 2009 dress closely.
She wanted to steal her spotlight back, and I don’t blame her.

I feel like that’s the biggest shade you can throw to someone when your ex shows up with someone else, and I respect that.
Revenge dresses can have many purposes, but I believe the most important reason is to make a statement. Doing this can show that you’re confident and that you don’t need anybody but yourself.
