There has been a recent burst of new creation within the fashion industry. On Oct. 30, Phoebe Philo, an English fashion designer, dropped her first collection.

Prior to having her own line, Philo was the creative director of both ChloĂ© and CĂ©line. Kick-starting her career at ChloĂ© in 1997, as Stella McCartney’s designing assistant.

It wasn’t until 2001 where she claimed the position of creative director as her own. In 2006, she strutted away from the ChloĂ© scene and began working for CĂ©line in 2008.

In 2017 Philo left the fashion industry behind to raise her second child. Ever since then, many have been anxiously awaiting the return of Philo’s artistry.

This waiting was amplified after Philo, in 2021, revealed that she was planning to release a signature line. Following its Oct. 30 release, Philo’s designing impact became irrefutable because in less than 24 hours, nearly half the collection had sold out.

Philo’s collection includes a range of apparel, shoes and accessories. In one glance, a silent embroidery is evoked through each piece.

Her refreshing infusion of elegance and originality reinstates the typical vision of business chic. Through the power duo of neutral colors and alluring stitching, the debut collection improves upon the accustomed aesthetic by bringing the pieces to life.

The bold designs grasp the viewers attention, as if the products are a story to be told. But the neutrality elucidates the idea that it is up to the buyer to write the story for themselves.

Philo’s designs carry out significant factors that bring brand success in the fashion industry. The most important, however, is the relevance of the brand.

A brand can fizzle out if it doesn’t connect to its intended audience, and Philo curated a collection, which is transcending all previous brand formulas.

Her collection speaks to everyone. Philo has created a concoction of designs that have managed to captivate each living generation.

Along with defining connection in a social aspect, Philo’s brand is sustainability approved as well. Which, in recent years, has been an important aspect to attracting customers toward luxury companies.

The PHOEBE PHILO team made it clear, as written on the website, that they are “determined to create a fashion house that is socially and ecologically literate.”

According to Glossy Magazine, Nick Vinckier, “director of corporate innovation at the luxury goods company Chalhoub Group,” explained how Philo’s brand release concept “‘is also a more sustainable model, as higher demand than supply means no excess inventory and less stress on the environment.’”

PHOEBE PHILO is categorized as a season-less drop, meaning it was not delivered to last for only one season, but a lifetime. Resulting in reliable pieces, encompassing a wardrobe of quality over quantity.

The materials include wool, cotton drill, viscose twill, shearling, silk satin, leather and beyond. PHOEBE PHILO consists of “classic designs that are intended to stand the test of time.”

Elevating your fall and winter style may now come with ease, pulling inspiration from this collection. Philo’s creations are the epitome of a style displaying high class uniqueness.

PHOEBE PHILO unveils an exotic sophistication, which summons the often unspoken truth that fashion is not about limits, but rather the many stories waiting to be told through every crafted ensemble.
