Michael Bublé’s 2011 album, Christmas is a holiday necessity for me. It is always played during car rides during the Christmas season and is often the background music to Christmas traditions like baking cookies with my sister, or wrapping presents with my mom. While the album features fifteen beautifully festive songs, here are my top five!
- White Christmas (with Shania Twain)
-
“White Christmas” is my personal favorite on the album. The jazzy, Christmas classic is sung with the help of icon, Shania Twain whose voice blends perfectly with that of Michale Bublé’s! It’s a great rendition of the song and is always the first played during the holiday season.
- All I Want For Christmas Is You
-
While this rendition of the unofficial anthem of Christmas is not sung by the queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey, it still does the original justice! This version of the song is slower than the original and offers a softer feel to the Christmas classic!
- Blue Christmas
-
This cover of the Elvis Presely song is quintessential Bublé, it has a wonderful big band sound to it and fits onto Bublé’s Christmas album perfectly!
- Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)
-
This song is a great change of pace to the rest of the Christmas album, as it strays away from the typical jazzy sound of a Bublé song. This song is upbeat and romantic as it is about wishing that a loved one was home for the holidays.
- Santa Claus Is Coming To Town
-
Michael Bublé’s cover of this song is one of many, as artists of all different styles and sounds have covered it before. Bublé’s version of the song mimics some of the first renditions of the song and is, like most Bublé songs, jazzy.
