I truly never thought this day would come, where I would be sitting down on a couch thinking about how this is going to be my last year of college in a couple of months. But I knew this was going to happen eventually, so I have to just let it be and embrace it. So here I sit, writing down my ultimate Penn State bucket list: everything I would like to do before I graduate.Â
- Have my 21st at The PhrystÂ
-
I know it’s a tradition, and I’m one of the few seniors who sadly turn 21 during their senior year, so I have to put it down anyway to make sure I can accomplish it.Â
- Go to Every Single Football Game
-
The fact that I’m putting this down feels almost like a sin. I have somehow had the blessing of having season tickets all four years, but there has always been something that has stopped me from going to all of the games. Except this year. I must go to all of them and I will, just you wait.Â
- Hike Mount Nittany
-
I’m not a hiker by any means, but I’ve always wanted to just sort of, I don’t know…get in ~touch~ with nature. I always hear how beautiful it is up there and I want to be able to experience that as a student while I’m still here.Â
- Revisit All my Memories From Freshman Year
-
I’m not going to lie, I went through a lot my freshman year, but that doesn’t mean I still don’t have amazing memories. I want to visit my old dorm and my boyfriend’s dorm, the place where I had my first kiss, my first date, see where I watched the riots happen when we won the Big 10–everything.Â
- Go to Another Sporting Event At Least Once
-
Penn State is known for football, but there are still plenty of sports we’re extremely good at (i.e. hockey, wrestling, woman’s volleyball, etc). Tickets aren’t too expensive and they’re literally right down the street from where I live, so I might as well go there and give it a shot.Â
- Dine in my Freshman Dining HallÂ
-
Because why not? I can’t tell you the amount of memories I’ve had there (and the amount of zucchini bread I ate from Edge). I might as well go back to East and celebrate graduating with a good ole burger that’s way too cooked from Flipp’s.Â
Â
- Go to the Berkey Creamery
-
This is sort of just a given. We’re all Penn Staters and we all love the ice cream, but of course I’m going to make sure I visit it as much as possible before the end of my year.Â
- 55 Days of Café
-
I promised myself last year that when I turned 21 I was going to participate in all the fun that all of my friends do, and I can promise you I’m going to go there every single day no matter what.Â
- Stay for the Final Four Hours of THON
-
I would say do THON all together, but I know there’s no way a newbie like me would be able to dance on the floor for the first time, so I’d rather just say I’d want to be there for the experience of the final four. Who knows? Maybe I will be able to become a dancer, but for now I’m happy with this.
- Eat Canyon Pizza Drunk
-
Some say it’s a sin to eat it sober but I’ve actually only eaten it sober and I genuinely want to eat it drunk so please, someone take me out to pizza before I leave.Â
- Take a Tour of EverythingÂ
-
Penn State has so much history, from the Bell Tower to the Stadium. I really want to be able to experience it all before I leave because honestly, I don’t want to have wasted my time at school where I could have gotten things for cheaper rather than as an alumni.Â
- Eat a Grilled Stickey
-
Although Ye Olde College Diner has shut down, I know Corner Room still has them available, and I will for sure get them as soon as I can because I have heard they’re legendary.Â
- Do Free Skating at Pegula
-
Even though I am literally the clumsiest person alive (literally ask anyone that knows me) that is a huge ice rink that I have barely ever stepped into, and I know they offer free skate all the time, so it’s definitely something I wouldn’t mind doing.Â
- Eat More West Cookies
-
Because, of course.Â
- Ride the Vamos Lion ChariotÂ
-
This dude always looks like he’s having a good time, and I wanna participate. So catch me outside getting a ride back from the stadium with this dude one day.Â
- Thank my Family for Bringing me to Penn State
-
Because truly, I don’t think I ever could have made a better choice.Â
- Graduate
-
I’m not crying, you are.Â
