Folks, the time has finally arrived.
I have a love hate-relationship with my yearly music recap. Don’t get me wrong, I love opening my Spotify Wrapped and reliving my favorite songs of the year.
However, that’s not to say Spotify Wrapped is never embarrassing, or even a bit scarring to relive your music choices from some of your worst moments of your year.
It’s amazing how listening to a song I played non-stop in January can take me back to that winter month and with it, all the emotions I felt at that time.
However, with the bad comes the good.
Here are my top songs of 2023, according to my Spotify Wrapped.
- “Feathered Indians” by Tyler Childers

This song was definitely one I was not expecting to make my list, but it’s one I’m not mad about it making my top five songs of 2023.
My sister introduced me to this country song by Tyler Childers, and though the title may seem a bit strange for a song, it truly is a great one that never fails to get me thinking.
- “i REMEMBER EVERYTHING (FEAT. KACEY MUSGRAVES)” BY ZACH BRYAN

This song is relatively new, as it came out in August 2023. However, it making my Spotify Wrapped is a testament to how great a song it is and how much I love it.
It is a sad one but Bryan and Musgraves powerful voices blended together worked to create a hauntingly beautiful ballad.

“Last Night” making my 2023 Spotify Wrapped definitely came as a shock to me.
However, upon further reflection I realized I did listen to this Morgan Wallen song quite a lot, especially over this past summer.
It is an upbeat song, which added a bit of diversity to my otherwise sad top songs of the year. It is certainly a fun song to listen to.
- “Dawns (Feat. maggie rogers)” by zach bryan

As you can probably tell, Bryan’s music really took up a big chunk of what I listened to in 2023.
“Dawns (feat. Maggie Rogers)” is my all time favorite song by the country artists. This song is so nostalgic for me. When I listen to it, I feel as if I am transported back to the moment where I first listened to it.
It’s one of those songs that I knew would instantly become one of my favorites the first time I listened to it.
I seriously can’t say enough wonderful things about this song. I am extremely happy it made it on my Spotify Wrapped.
- “Shakira: bzrp music sessions, vol. 53” by bizarrap, shakira

I played this song a whopping 154 times in the year 2023. I could probably listen to this song for hours on repeat (and I probably have).
Shakira is an amazing artist, and this collaboration with Bizarrap highlighted her talent.
It definitely deserved the top spot on my 2023 Spotify Wrapped.
