5 Signs He’s Playing You

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Purdue chapter.

Wondering if your new guy is for real? Here’s five clues that he might not be looking for anything serious.

1. He’s always busy

We’ve all got tons of things to do, but he seems to never have any free time. Or at least, he doesn’t have free time for you.

2. He takes FOREVER to text you back.

Hours, days, or even weeks pass before you hear from him again. Then, as soon as you’ve given up all hope, he hits you with a “hey” or “what’s up?” like nothing happened.

3. You’ve only ever hung out with him at your place or his

If he’s never taken you out on a date or anywhere in public, there’s probably a reason. A guy that is truly interested will want to impress you and show you off.

4. You haven’t met any of his friends

If you’re only asked to come over to his place when his roommates aren’t home, then he probably hasn’t mentioned you to his friends. Guys like to show off girls that they really like and want to seriously date.

5. He says all the right things but his actions just don’t add up

He tells you that he really wants to date you and that you’re perfect, but then you don’t hear from him for a long time. If he hasn’t done anything to make his “feelings” seem true, then he’s probably playing you. Actions speak louder than words. It’s time to tell that boy bye.
