Ā Ā Olivia Rodrigo has officially spilled her guts and I am so obsessed. I was very fortunate to see Rodrigo take the stage in Columbus, Ohio and she was electric. It also happened to be the day she released the deluxe edition of her second album, GUTS (spilled). This deluxe edition of the album included five new tracks including the concert and fan favorite, ā€˜obsessedā€™. While this was the only song from the new edition played at the concert, they all are worthy of their moment to shine. Hereā€™s my ranking of the newest editions on GUTS.

  1. “Obsessed”

I dare say that I am, in fact, obsessed with this song. Since the day it was released, I have listened to it at least three times every day. It quickly skyrocketed to one of my favorite songs of all time. I personally love every Olivia Rodrigo song that is heavy with guitar and drums and this song is perfect for that vibe. It is the perfect song to dance to while getting ready as it definitely gets you in a hyped mood.Ā

  1. “So American”

This song is currently fighting for the number one spot on this list. I honestly tell you that I have listened to this song 23 times in a row today alone. As someone who constantly dreams about meeting an Australian or European man just like all my favorite rom-coms(cough, 10 Things I Hate About You, cough), this is my personal anthem. Even though Iā€™m extremely jealous over the guy Rodrigo is potentially singing about, I am very happy for her and even happier she blessed us with this beautiful song.Ā

  1. “Stranger”

Iā€™ll be completely transparent with you all, I have, in fact, ugly sobbed to this song here. While I love Olivia for her heavy drums and guitar songs, she is so talented at writing heart wrenching, emotionally devastating songs. While this song is definitely helping me process some intense emotions, it’s also healing to hear these emotions validated by someone else; especially through a song you can scream in the car with your best friend.Ā

  1. “Scared of my guitar”

Once again, this is one singer that knows how to write gut wrenching songs that strike every chord in my heart. She is able to perfectly describe the emotional attachment to the things we enjoy most in love and the effect others have on those. This song reminds me of some of the most heartbreaking songs from Sour but also with a more mature tone. This song would definitely be higher in the list but sometimes I have to skip it. I canā€™t hear this song more than a couple times before I need to cuddle up in the dark with a blanket and sweet treat.

  1. “Girl Iā€™ve always been”Ā

In the kindest way possible, this song reminds me of the song Olivia sings in the newest Hunger Games film. It might be the types of instruments she uses or her background vocals but I could definitely see Lucy Gray singing. While the lyrics definitely resonate with me, the song itself is not my favorite.Ā Ā
