This past September I attended a life changing event—Lost Lands Music Festival. This festival is a 3-day long, immersive musical experience that takes you back to a day in age when music and the people around you were explored in valuable, appreciative ways. Lost Lands has been an annually recurring music festival since 2017 and is presented by worldwide known DJ Excision. It is filled with all types of EDM with a focus on bass music. Their technologically advanced stages provide out of this world visuals to audience members with various seamlessly synced, professionally sounded shows from an overwhelming number of performers.
Many things stand out about this festival that have made it a memorable tradition for the growing audience. Most importantly, DINOSAURS—life-sized DINOSAURS! And they look so realistic, which reflects the great effort the planners put into this festival. You can check out pictures on their website that I will link below. It created a magical experience and exposed me to a form of art I have never seen in-person.
The vendors. Unique, delicious food vendors that come from across the world. Some options I got to check out were Space Fruit, Squeeky’s Cheese Curds, Island Noodles, and Fistful of Tacos. Since their goal is to offer a one-of-a-kind experience, nothing ordinary or common is in sight. Everything is accustomed to the immersive, unique bonding experience promised by the following mission statement from Lost Lands Music Festival officials:
“ESCAPE THE CONFINES OF THE WORLD OUTSIDE AND FIND YOURSELF IN AN IMMERSIVE ENVIRONMENT SURROUNDED BY DINOSAURS, BEATS, AND BASS. LOST LANDS MANIFESTS A FORWARD-THINKING VISION TO DELIVER AN UNFORGETTABLE FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE AND UNITE HEADBANGERS TOGETHER AS ONE TRIBE.”
The festival offers general admission and VIP ticket options along with various camping packages for attendees that desire the complete Lost Lands experience. These tickets drop for sale on their official website earlier in the year, typically around March, of the festival that happens at the end of September. Tickets sell out quickly, so be sure to stay updated on their media platforms and email list if you want to join the tribe for 2022!
