As a Gender Studies student, what does Feminism mean to you?
To me, feminism means that I am in the driver’s seat of my own life.
Motivational Quote:
“Stories matter. Many stories matter. Stories have been used to dispossess and to malign, but stories can also be used to empower and to humanize. Stories can break the dignity of a people, but stories can also repair that broken dignity.” – Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Narrow discourses, singular stories, and essentialism are harmful. The world is not a black and white place, nor should it be binary. We must pass on to our children stories that will unite them and not separate them, that will show them multiple ways of being. Â
