What is your dream job?
I’d really like to be a Justice of the Supreme Court.
What is something on your bucket list?
I’ve always wanted to go see the pyramids of Giza.
What is something interesting about yourself that other people do not usually know?
I was a band geek. I played mostly the trumpet but I also played a little bit of the French horn, tuba, and trombone. I dabbled in most of the brass instruments.
What’s your favourite thing about Queen’s?
The Queen’s community. It’s composed of all different kinds of things – a vibrant campus with people from all walks of life with extremely unique experiences, and having the ability and opportunity to get to know and interact with these people is such an enriching experience. I think that’s the point of university.
What’s your favourite Queen’s experience so far?
Hands down Queen’s Model Parliament. Being a political studies student and someone who one day would hope to fill a seat on Parliament Hill, it’s a great learning opportunity. The contacts that you make and students that you meet, you may one day wind up serving in Parliament with. It’s an enriching experience and you build these friendships and relationships. Even people who have no interest in politics come to QMP and have a ball. It’s a conference that is focused on having a good time and making new connections. It’s a conference that really has a little something for everyone.
If you had to invite 3 famous people (dead or alive) over for dinner, who would they be? And what would you cook for them?
1. Meryl Streep – because she is such a delightful person
2. John F. Kennedy
3. Winston Churchill
I wouldn’t serve them McYuck’s that’s for sure. I’d have to go with chicken a la king and perogies with copious amounts of scotch.
What is your spirit animal?
The hell is a spirit animal. Oh god. I don’t know how to answer this question. I guess maybe I embody an elephant, I have no idea why or how.
Where’s your favourite place to eat in Kingston?
I really like the Copper Penny. Chicken parmesan and caesar salad every time. I like what I like.
What are your plans for the summer?
I’m going home to do lots of work. I’ll be working in the building department for our city. Hopefully playing lots of golf.
