What do you see yourself doing in the future?
In the future I would like to become a cosmetic plastic surgeon. Everyone always asks why I have made such a choice, but I understand what it feels like to have bodily issues and letting that hold you back. I want to help people look like the person they want to be so they can wake up with a smile on their faces. My backup plan is to do something where Biology meets business and change the healthcare system.
What are some of the clubs/organizations that you’re involved in on campus?
On campus I am a part of the QU NAACP, the New Student Orientation Program, The Chronicle, and the African Student Union.

Out of these, which is your favorite organization to be apart of?
The Chronicle. Although I have been MIA this year I loved writing my articles and bringing a new dynamic to the paper through the fashion world.
What made you want to be an OL and what do you enjoy most about it?
I applied to become an orientation leader to get more involved on campus. Freshman year all of my friends were applying and they encouraged me to do the same. Next thing you know, I got an acceptance letter saying I was an orientation leader. One thing I loved about orientation is creating a family between each group of freshman I had. I felt that I lacked that element when I finished orientation so I gave all my freshman what I wish I had.
Have you done anything recently that’s out of your comfort zone?
I recently created a lookbook of my outfits. This is new for me because I was never the one to show off my style, but after coming here and seeing the monotonous aspect of fashion I decided to use this as an outlet of [my] self expression.
Do you have any advice for people wanting to step out of their comfort zone?
Stepping out of your comfort zone opens so many doors in your life. Freshman year, that was my biggest regret at QU. And for me to say that means a lot because I try to not have any. Sophomore year I decided to get involved in different things. I found out I have so many talents and I can put my mind to anything and accomplish it.
