QU How To: Have A School Pride Filled Weekend

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Quinnipiac chapter.

The Yale game is one of the biggest events on campus, a homecoming of sorts since QU doesn’t have a football team, so you’re not going to want to miss out.  Here are a few tips on how to have a school spirited weekend filled with fun and Bobcat pride!

  1. Get Your Tickets– With the Yale game being the most talked about event of the year, make sure you fill out the survey that the school is sending to make sure you and your friends can get the tickets.  If you’re one of the unlucky ones that don’t get the tickets, don’t be too bummed out, you can get a live feed of the game online and the game will be broadcasted live on CPTV so invite a bunch of friends who didn’t get the tickets as well and watch the game together.
  2. Wear Your Pride– Beat Yale T-shirts are on sale now and all proceeds go to the Make A Wish Foundation, so get your T-shirt and join the fun of the big yellow mob.  Also, buying blue and gold face paint is a great way to show your school pride too!  This weekend is a big deal on the Quinnipiac campus, so going all out will just make your school pride stand out more.
  3. Be Respectful– The arena is going to be packed and filled with Bobcat pride, so there is no need to be too out of control.  There is a fine line between showing off pride for your team and being out right obnoxious.
  4. Have Fun– The entire weekend is filled with hockey games, both Yale and Brown, the night after, so take advantage of all the games.  Even if you don’t get tickets to Yale, show up the night after and watch the Bobcats take on Brown.  With this being one of the biggest sports events of the weekend, take full advantage of them. They’re free for all Quinnipiac students and an amazing opportunity to have some school fun!
