6 Fall Activities Now That Fall is Finally Here!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Regent chapter.

It’s Fall finally! Hurricane Michael rushed in without warning and unapologetically ushered in the fall season. The day after the storm, many of us walked outside and were hit with an overwhelming, cool breeze. Most of us don’t fully know what to do with this sudden change of weather. Well, that’s why I am here. Here is a list of fun things to do now that it is finally fall:

  1. Go apple picking: This is a personal fall favorite. I mean it is stereotypical, but my family always did it before it was “cool” and I enjoy doing it. And don’t forget to get a large jar of apple butter and a loaf of apple bread from the orchard you visit.

  1. Go to a corn maze: Corn mazes are super fun. My favorite ones are the hard ones. You know, there are those kiddie ones where the clues are super easy and its really just one big circle, but the best are the complicated ones where you and your friends start sweating because you’re nervous you might not get out. Now that’s an adrenalin rush.

  2. Go shopping: With a new season comes new clothes! Fall clothes are fun. As a dress-wearer myself, it’s fun to find cute dresses at the mall or local shops that have a fall feel to them. And don’t forget to add cute short boots.

  3. Pumpkin everything: I personally don’t get the hype of pumpkin spice. I mean its good and all, but nothing to write home about. But, now is the time for pumpkin spice everything. From drinks at Starbucks to now pumpkin spice flavored mac and cheese, almost anything you could ever want has pumpkin spice flair.

  4. Take a hike: Now that it’s not 100 degrees outside, it’s the perfect time to take a hike. Grab a group of friends, water bottles, and a good pair of sneakers and take yourself on a hike. It’s the perfect season because all of the trees are beautiful and full of so many colors.

  1. Attend a fall festival: One of my favorite things about this season is attending festivals with my family. Fall festivals generally have good food and games. And, if they are on the 31st, then they will also have good candy ?

Fall is a great season. It’s not too hot and not too cold. It’s full of beautiful colors. It has great seasonal food. And there are so many activities you can do with your friends. So grab a group of friends and make plans for an unforgettable weekend.
