Behind Emma’s Glasses: Thank & Be Thankful

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Rider chapter.
With Thanksgiving rapidly approaching I wanted to share what I am thankful for this holiday season:

My ever growing family
As I prepare to extend my family by getting married, I am thankful to have so many loving and caring people in my life. As our relationships grow- rebuild in some cases- and strengthen in all others, I am thankful that I have so many people cheering me on in everything I do.

My fiancé, new puppy and the start of my own little family
Starting our own little family has had little challenges (mainly poop on the carpet and extra hours at work to pay the bills) but it is a learning experience full of love and excitement.

My Graduate Assistantship
Speaking of work, I am thankful to have a job that is exciting, challenging and that allows me to work one-on-one with students.

Health & Happiness
Self explanatory

Growing confidence
I don’t think I have ever said this out loud, but I am thankful for my personal blog (www.behindtheleopardglasses.blogspot.com) and hercampus for giving me a creative outlet when my day to day seems bogged down by “policies” and “professionalism”

THE BREAK FROM CLASSES!
I know as students we’re all feeling this right now, but someone needs to put this semester out of it’s misery. In the mean time, I can’t wait to have some time off, see my family and catch up on some zzz’s.

What are you thankful for? What are you looking forward to this break?
