Softly the wind blows;
as I lay here peacefully cocooned.
Around me I hear a soft whisper,
she gently whispers in my ear:
“hush now darling, close your eyes.”
It is so tempting
and my body yearns to give in.
But something stops me.
Something so strong;
so powerful, that it startles me awake.
It was just a dream;
that only lives now as a fragment.
A fragment so small yet so big.
