1.When did you get involved with class council?
I have been a member of the 2012 class council since my freshman year.
2. What drew you to class council?
Throughout high school I was a member of student council and when I came to the U of R I immediately knew I wanted to join a similar student organization on campus. I enjoy planning events for the class of 2012 and the campus community. As a senior, I am having so much fun with the council planning our senior happy hours, senior nights, and senior week. Being a part of the 2012 class council has had such a large impact on my experience here at the U of R and I only hope that my efforts have positively impacted others in my class!
3. What is your role as administrative chair of the senior class?
As administrative chair of the senior class, my co-chair Trevor Baisden and I have been working throughout the year to create and promote the senior class gift. This year we decided to encourage our class to donate by allowing students to give to essentially anything they would like. Any academic department, student group, sports team, or annual fund of the university are some of the many options students can donate to!
4. What are your goals for the end of the year?
With two months left before graduation I plan on enjoying everything Rochester has to offer. I can’t believe these four years have gone by so quickly! I hope to make time to explore the city, spend time with friends, and most importantly solidify my plans for next year.
5. Do you have any advice for underclasswomen?
My advice to underclasswomen would be to take advantage of everything you can during your four years at UR! Your time here will be gone before you know it! There are so many great opportunities on campus and in the Rochester community and I really encourage you all to go out and get involved in something you are passionate about!
