Â
1. Give yourself ample time to make your flight:Â
Leave campus at least 3 hours early to ensure that you will make your flight. It is better to get to the airport early than to miss your flight.Â
Â
2. Call your taxi the night before:
During the holiday season, taxi services are generally busier than usual. Avoid the hassle of trying to find a ride by ordering your taxi at least 24 hours in advance.Â
Â
3. Wear sensible clothes:Â
When you are flying, make sure to leave the jewelry at home! It is also advised to not wear a belt or suspenders. Acceptable clothes would be a dress, sweats or leggings, and of course slip on shoes.Â
Â
4. Pack lightly:Â Â Â Â
If at all possible, only take a carry-on bag with you. Taking extra baggage will ensure that you spend time checking in your bag and your odds of losing your belongings increase.Â
Â
5. Print out your ticket ahead of time OR download your airline’s travel app:Â
Don’t rely on airport ticket machines to print out your boarding pass. It is best to either have your ticket prepared on your phone or have a hard copy on hand. It is most preferable to print out double copies of your paperwork.Â
