The first Trader Joe’s opened in the late 1960s in Pasadena, California and that same location is still open today. The Trader Joe’s website provides a timeline the shows how the chain has evolved and become so successful and well-known. One of my favorite things about Trader Joe’s is that even though the stores are small, they’re easy to navigate and have all the food I need for the week. Also, Trader Joe’s hires people that are outgoing and always willing to go out of their way to help you, making it a super positive shopper experience. Trader Joe’s has very little processed food and provides organic food at a reasonable price, offering healthy alternatives for people from all income brackets. As an avid fan of Trader Joe’s, I’m going to take you through some of my favorite products on their shelves!Â
Stir-Fried Riced Cauliflower:Â $2.99Â
This favorite item from the frozen section uses diced cauliflower instead of rice in a stir fry base with mixed vegetables, a low-carb alternative to traditional stir fry. Their stir-fried cauliflower can be used as a base to a vegetarian or protein bowl and tastes great with tofu, tempeh, chicken, or beef.Â
Vegetable Dumplings and Chicken Spring Rolls $3.99Â
These items also use the freshest organic ingredients and offer a healthy alternative since they are steamed and baked.
Breaded Chicken Fingers: $7.99Â
This frozen seciton item is super tasty and easy to make. The chicken all-white meat chicken breast are baked in the oven, but they turn out so crispy that they taste as good as fried.Â
Hand-Rolled Flour Tortillas: $2.99Â
Trader Joe’s Famous Pepita Sauce: $2.99
These can be used to make any type of quesadilla, then topped with the delicious pepita sauce, making it perfect for a Taco Tuesday.Â
Trader Joe’s 21 Seasoning Salute: $1.99Â
This is a great seasoning to put on vegetables, salads, and all grilled meats. The seasoning is an essential herb combination for anyone’s spice drawer, and great to have on hand. Happy shopping!Â
