After a bit of a hiatus from thrifting (I’m busy during the semester ok), I decided to kick off my thrifting with a Dollar Sunday HAUL. At Goodwill stores on Sundays, items with certain color tags are only $1. It’s amazing. Check it out.
That being said, because I am who I am, I dropped $20 and only bought two items that were only a dollar. Still, I’m super excited about some of the things I picked up, and wanted to share them with ya’ll.
With winter coming, I knew I was on the lookout for warm clothes, and there is no place better than Goodwill for a super big super comfy over-sized sweaters! So of course when I found this big white one, I scooped it up immediately.
Continuing on my warm clothing hunt, I found a long sleeved gray and red tee shirt. This strays a little from my typical style (I’m not the most athletic if you couldn’t tell), but, when I tried it on, the fabric stretched so perfectly I knew I’d find a way to rock it. I styled it with a button down skirt and a belt I also picked up from Goodwill and called it a day.
Another belt I picked up is a little funky. It is completely lavender. Completely. As someone who avoids wearing non-neutral colors at almost all costs I’m not sure what drew me to the belt, all I knew is I needed it.
Finally *drum roll begins* I found the item I expected to like the least but ended up loving the most. High waisted, army green pants. They’re baggy. They’re big. I love them. They are way more wearable than anticipated and look good belted, not belted, with a baggy top, with a tight top. I love them and highly recommend scooping up a pair yourself if ever you have the opportunity.
*Side note: I’ve seen similar Urban Outfitter styles go for literally 60 times what I paid, which was $1*
Happy thrifting!
