College. We’ve been preparing for these years for our entire lives, and now we’re here. Is it anything like what you expected? If it is, count yourself lucky; if not, don’t worry! That’s what I’m here for! My name is Jude (Hey Jude…), and I would like to extend a helping hand to my fellow Rowan collegiettes through this advice column. Perhaps seeking advice from an online journal article seems a little nontraditional (or awkward); but I’d like to change those preconceived notions. Sometimes an unbiased outside perspective is all a person needs to make the right choices in life. Sometimes a word of advice from a stranger can go a long way. After all, what better person to give advice than someone who’s also living through it?
My advice column will formally start next Sunday, February 24, after the first questions are received. Questions will be answered on a biweekly basis, for those of you who are tracking down the answers to your questions. Feel free to ask any questions you may have whether they be about relationship issues, schoolwork, professors, personal hygiene, or what club you should join if you’re interested in puppeteering; these questions will remain anonymous. No one is judging you. All questions should be emailed to me directly at askcollegejude@gmail.com. We all know how stressful college can be. I’d like to make it a little easier by answering the questions you may be too afraid to ask. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you through these tricky times. Isn’t it nice to have someone you can count on?Â
