Now, it is no secret that I spend way too much time on Tik Tok. While most people (my mom) would tell me that it’s turning my brain to mush and wasting my time, I actually have used it to advance my interests in several different things. Through Tik Tok, I’ve learned more about cooking, makeup, pop culture and my favorite — fashion.
The app can be really overwhelming and hard to navigate when you don’t know where to start, so if you’re interested in fashion, I have compiled a list of my 3 favorite influencers/accounts on Tik Tok that give great inspiration and advice.
1. @suedebrooks
Suede Brooks got her start on YouTube at a young age and became well known for her fashion and beauty tutorials and hauls. Over the years, she has gained a large fanbase and many brand deals. Lauren Wolfe is the Amazon fashion queen. If you’re balling on a budget, Lauren is the girl for you. Her usual content is unboxing hauls (usually from Amazon), mixed with tips about where to get staple closet pieces and things you may have missed at your local Target. She also fills you in on the latest fashion dupes and tips on how to wear tops and bathing suits in multiple ways to achieve different styles!
3. @carolinafreixa
Carolina Freixa is another great influencer to follow if you’re looking for some inspiration. I followed her for her “look alike” videos, where she finds dupes for popular pieces from stores such as Zara and I.Am.Gia for an affordable price. She is also the queen of outfit recreations from popular fashion icons like Princess Diana, Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid. Carolina also shows you how to do trendy hairstyles on yourself and how to make accessories yourself!
Fashion can sometimes be an overwhelming thing to get started in because there are so many choices and styles to choose from. Apps like Tik Tok make it easier for people who have already navigated the fashion world to give others their tips and tricks.
