10 Thoughts Only People Who Live In J-Hill Will Understand

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Sacred Heart chapter.

One of the perks of going to SHU- is that no matter where you go on campus, the walk is only 10 minutes at most. It gets a little tricky though when you live in Scholars Commons, more commonly known as, J-Hill. The buildings definitely live up to their name because the hill you walk up to get to class can get a bit challenging- especially during those colder months. Here are 10 thoughts that all people that live in J-Hill have during the winter:

1. “Why did I decided to live on the complete end of campus?”

2. “Can this count as my cardio for the day?”

3. “Do you want to cut through Linda’s? It’s warm in there”

4. “Oh the wind isn’t that bad today. On second thought, maybe it is.”

5. “Will cutting through the upper quad make this trip quicker?”

6. “Maybe I can skip class just this once”

7. “It snowed last night… why didn’t they cancel class?”

8. “I didn’t know J-Hill was an ice skating rink. Can’t this school put salt down?”

Although I complain about this horrible walk, I still love J-Hill; and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else on campus!
