Half way through April, with the end of the semester approaching fast, it seems like just yesterday the year had begun. Whether you are majoring in Communications, Nursing, or Business, every student feels the same way when the end is in sight. Here are the 6 emotions every college student feels towards the end of the semester.
1. Utter shock that there’s only a few weeks left of the semester
How could it have gone by so fast? Didn’t we just get back from winter break?
2. Realizing how many assignments you have between now and summer
There are 5 essays, 3 exams, a lab report, and who knows how many other assignments in front of you. Every class is in crunch mode and you don’t even know where to begin.
3. And the little motivation you have left
But the first thing you will do? Take a nap. The school year has exhausted you, and the only thing keeping you going at this point is a big cup of coffee and the thought of summer time.
4. The stress of procrastination
Maybe you should’ve written a few more notes, or perhaps you shouldn’t have skipped class that one time; but either way you are here now, faced with your work.
5. Thinking about how little, or how much money you have left on your meal plan
At this point, you are either buying every item in Outtakes, or setting up camp in 63’s to get as many meals as you can from one swipe. You have either budgeted well to last the semester, or you will be eating peanut butter sandwiches for the last few days, there is no in-between.
6. The sadness that overwhelms you when you have to say goodbye to your friends for a whole three months
How are you suppose to function without the people you’ve been living with everyday? Who will you eat every meal with? What about all your free time? But, the good news is, you will be reunited come the fall.
Don’t stress about your finals, you are only a few weeks away from summer!
