Fall-Inspired Snacks to Power Through Mid-Semester

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Sacred Heart chapter.

It feels like only yesterday that a new academic year began, yet here we are, already knee-deep in mid-semester exams, papers and assignments. In the midst of drowning in all things college-related, a serious case of the munchies is bound to slowly creep in. Here are a few fall-inspired snacks to help you power through the dreaded midterms period while still staying in tune with all the excitement surrounding the fall season.

1. RXBAR (Seasonal Flavors)

The hype around RXBARS shows no signs of dying down. The whole food protein bar company recently came out with two new flavors: Pumpkin Spice and Gingerbread. If you’re really feeling the fall spirit, you can try out their Fall Variety Pack which contains all their most popular seasonal flavors.

2. Harvest Trail Mix

One of the easiest snacks to make on your own is a fun and flavorful trail mix. Apart from being cheaper than a store-bought variety, you get to customize your mix-ins according to your own taste preferences. For starters, here is a simple recipe for a Harvest Hash Halloween Mix!

3. Apples & Pumpkin Butter

Add a seasonal twist to the classic snack combo of Apples and Nut butter by combining the sliced fruit with some delicious pumpkin butter, like this version sold at Trader Joe’s!

4. Pumpkin Chocolate-Chip Muffins

When you really need to take some downtime, baking can be a fun de-stressing activity. Keeping in line with our obsession with pumpkin ~everything~, here is an easy recipe for pumpkin chocolate-chip muffins that uses slightly healthier ingredients for a guilt-free pick-me-up between study sessions.

Don’t skimp on enjoying the fall season while it lasts – stay festive with your snack attacks by giving some of these options a try!
