A Scrunchie For (almost) Every Occasion

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Sacred Heart chapter.

It isn’t breaking news that Scrunchies are back and better than ever. They’re not just for your hair though. You can also sport them as a cute accessory on your wrist to spice up any outfit.

Some may say Scrunchies are only for those casual days, when you just want to put your hair up in a messy bun. Well, I’m here to tell you that everyday is a great day for a scrunchie.

Have you ever gotten dressed and wondered “Hm. What could make this outfit better?” I’m here to help!

Date Night (or GNO): Cheetah Print Pony

Date Night? Girls Night? You can’t go wrong with cheetah print. I would pair this with black jeans and a fun top. This scrunchie is also unique because it has a long tassel which adds even more style.

Formal Event? Fancy Dinner?: Velvet Baby!

I recommend a solid color velvet scrunchie. You can layer this on your wrist with other bracelets and  the velvet texture really takes it up a notch. Plus, if you are attending a formal, there’s no worse feeling then sweating on the dance floor only to realize you don’t have a hair tie on you.

8am Classes: Comfy & Cute

Ah the joy of 8am classes. I’m a senior and somehow decided I should take two of them this semester *insert instant regret*. For this very unfortunate occasion, I tend to reach for a casual scrunchie with a soft material.

Morning Coffee Run: Coffee Queen

Just look at this frappuccino scrunchie! So cute!

Gym time: Less is More

For the gym, I prefer these thinner scrunchies because they stay in place and are still just as versatile as the regular ones.

Job Interview- Oh, she’s fancy!

As I am currently in the process of trying to figure out what the heck I want to do with the rest of my life (oof), I’ve learned that dressing for interviews should not only consist of looking the part, but also of showing off your own unique style. A fancy Scrunchie can do just that.
