The key to making your room your “happy place” is to make it aesthetically pleasing. Our bedrooms are the place we relax and escape the rest of the world for a while. Here are some ways to make your room aesthetically pleasing, and the place you’ll always want to escape to:
Â
1. Come up with a color scheme
Coming up with a color scheme is the first step. Stick to a pattern of two or three major colors: my favorite is black, white, and grey. This will automatically make your bedroom look more put together because it is easy on the eye. Keeping your color scheme neutral will give you the ability to add subtle pops of color throughout the rest of your room!

2. Warm lighting
White string lights have been my go to every time I’ve re-done my room. They are simple and cheap, and add an extra oomph to your room. They are also perfect for when you want to turn off your bright lights and have a more relaxed lighting.
3. Keep your bedding simple
Minimalism, minimalism, minimalism! This is the key to an aesthetically pleasing room. Keep the bedding simple and add some cute fuzzy blankets and throw pillows instead. Remember, aesthetics also include touch, so make sure you pick out a bedding that’s comfortable!

4. Add a tapestry to spice up your walls
Tapestry’s are the perfect addition to any room. They are offered in such a wide variety and you’ll be sure to find the perfect one to complete your room! I’m absolutely obsessed with marble so naturally I had to get marble tapestry, and I love the way it turned out!
5. Candles
Aesthetics includes smell too! Bath & Body Works has the best smelling candles, and they also have the most aesthetically pleasing packaging! I’ve been obsessed for years and can’t get enough. Tip: Look out for their upcoming holiday sales to save $!!!
Â
6. Keep it organized!
This is pretty self explanatory. It’s crucial to stay organized in order to achieve an aesthetically pleasing room! Staying on top of it and keeping your room clean and organized will allow you to truly relax instead of worrying about having to clean up a mess all the time!

Follow these tips and your room will definitely be feeling more home-y!
